About this event

Join the Tipperary Youth Arts Hub for a practical youth arts training day exploring how youth workers and artists (from all arts disciplines) can work together to create great youth arts experiences – all through the prism of Circus Arts!

The session will explore a variety of ways that Circus can be used to achieve specific outcomes for a Youth Group; best practice and tips for positive, productive partnerships between Artists and Youth Workers; tools and insights to help you collaborate with an Artist to develop a bespoke project for your group. The session will include lots of games and team building exercises, discussion and of course circus skills!

Joanna Williams has over 30 years experience delivering Youth Circus programmes in a wide range of collaborative settings. She has worked with Manchester Community Circus, Skylight Circus and Belfast Community Circus School. She is the founder and Artistic Director of Cloughjordan Circus Club, a vibrant youth and social circus organisation in Co. Tipperary. www.cloughjordancircusclub.ie

All Tipperary Youth Arts Hub events are open to youth workers, youth arts practitioners and artists working with young people in youth work / arts / non-formal education settings in the county. This session is a great opportunity for youth workers to develop their creative practice and for artists to develop their practice with young people. It's also a great space to network and build your contacts within the youth arts community in Tipperary.

So, join us on February 1st to develop creative new approaches to youth arts that will enhance your work with young people!
